Museum Asks for Donkey Whisperer
A Kent museum has appealed for help from a donkey whisperer but has specified they should speak Romanian.
Staff at the Museum of Kent Life said it had brought in new donkeys after its new operators told them to introduce more exciting animals to the farmyard.
The two animals, Ellie and Dora, have been wary of their new surroundings and need help to adapt to a working life.

Back Country Horsemen of America Sets $6 Million Annual Volunteer Value Goal
Back Country Horsemen of America has always believed in the worth of hard work. Instead of saying “Someone should do something,” they’re among the first to roll up their shirtsleeves and do what needs to be done.
Each year, BCHA members dedicate many hours to the hard labor of clearing and improving trails not only for equestrian use, but for everyone who enjoys the wilderness. In 2007, their total volunteer value was $5.6 million.
Read about their new goal, learn more about some of the projects they have done, and find out how you and your mule can join them. More info on Equestrian Mag at http://www.equestrianmag.com/news/back-country-horsemen-volunteer-goal-02-09.html

Mule Painting Top Lot at Auction
Neal Auction's February 7 and 8 estates auction got off to a solid start with the first lot across the block, setting the tone for the auction where many of the choicest items trumped their estimates.
A pair of paintings by William Aiken Walker (South Carolina, 1838–1921, active New Orleans, 1876–1905) performed well above estimate, resulting in the sale's top lot, Walker's oil on board "Cotton Picker on a Mule".
